RUSH
is the process
by which students
engage in social
settings for
the purpose
of getting to
know chapter
members as well
as chapter members
getting to know
potential brothers.
What
can I expect from
Rushing?
Get
ready to meet
alot of people!
You will: attend
social events,
interact with
brothers and other
rushees, and absorb
alot of information.
The more active
and personable
you are during
these events,
the easier it
is for chapter
brothers to get
to know you. Rushing
may require a
significant time
commitment, especially
if you are considering
several fraternities.
How
can I make the
most out of RUSH?
Attend
as many of the
functions as possible.
When
considering a
fraternity there
will be several
factors you will
need to evaluate.
The most important
criteria is the
actual brothers
that make up the
chapter house.
Ask yourself, "can
I call this home?".
Consider
the actual living
conditions and
location of the
house on campus.
Stop
by the houses
outside of functions-
invite yourself
to have lunch
with the brothers!
Gather information
from friends and
classmates about
your potential
selection.
Go
with your gut
feeling on which
house is right
for you, it's
probably the right
decision!
When
is RUSH?
The
Rush Convocation
and Forum are
at the beginning
of each semester,
usually in January
and August. This
kicks off the
"official" Rush
season, although
Phi Psi rushes
year 'round.
Fill
out our sign-up
and we will contact
you with details
on the next Rush
function.
